PA Consulting appoints Lizi Stewart as Global Head of Transport

PA Consulting has appointed Lizi Stewart as its new Global Head of Transport, strengthening the firm’s leadership in its international transport practice, according to a company statement released on 6 May 2026.

In her new role, Stewart will lead PA Consulting’s global transport business, overseeing work across aviation, rail, roads, and logistics. The company said the appointment is intended to enhance its ability to support clients as they respond to challenges including infrastructure resilience, decarbonisation, digital transformation, and changing customer expectations across transport systems worldwide.

Stewart joins PA Consulting with extensive experience in the transport and infrastructure sector, having held senior leadership positions including Group Chief Executive Officer of Core Highways Group, Managing Director of Transportation at AtkinsRéalis, and Managing Director roles at Arcadis focused on highways and aviation. She has also been active in industry leadership and professional bodies, including roles connected to highways and transport governance and sector diversity initiatives.

Commenting on her appointment, Stewart said the transport sector is operating in an increasingly complex environment shaped by pressure to reduce costs, improve customer experience, modernise ageing infrastructure, and strengthen resilience in areas such as cyber and energy systems. She added that PA Consulting’s combination of sector expertise and digital and data capabilities positions it to help clients address these challenges.

PA Consulting said Stewart’s appointment would further strengthen its global transport capabilities, highlighting her combination of commercial leadership, sector expertise, and experience in delivering transformation programmes. The firm added that her leadership would support clients in developing more resilient and sustainable transport systems.
