Credentials

The team behind Interchange is one the most accomplished and respected in the infrastructure events sector. Now operating as Meetings of Minds, their successful history, outlined below, underlines their experience.

 2012–2019

Essential Infrastructure Events

Essential Infrastructure Events (EIE) was launched in 2012 with the launch of Runways UK (with the UK Airports Commission) and Tomorrows Rail. Highways UK launched with Highways England in 2015 and has now grown to become a major industry event with over 7,000 visitors, 250 exhibitors and 300 speakers.

2010–2015

Base

Base (Business and a Sustainable Environment) launched in 2010 as a UK and European event series focused on sustainable cities and the role of business in shaping them. Delivered in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds and Nantes, it convened leaders from infrastructure, energy, transport and the built environment to explore low-carbon development, urban resilience and cross-sector collaboration.

2003-2006

Thames Gateway Forum

Andrew Dowding started out in 2003 with the launch of the ground-breaking and award-winning Thames Gateway Forum which was sold to UBM in 2006 (after London had successfully won the 2012 Olympic Bid). Prior to that, Andrew started his business to business media career at VNU in the early 1990s at the peak of the business publishing boom. This was followed by successful tenures at Emap in charge of the Civil Engineering portfolio (including NCE) and Reed Exhibitions.
