Andrew McIntosh

Andrew joined the GMCA in 2016 and jointly managed a series of Investment Funds totalling in excess of £500m across business, commercial property, and housing. Andrew was responsible for the implementation of a number of housing investments and developments across Greater Manchester. Andrew also has significant experience in financial structuring and modelling. Prior to joining the GMCA Andrew worked as the strategic commercial lead for Manchester City Council and was instrumental in the delivery of multiple projects including the Civic Quarter Heat Network project. Andrew previously worked at KPMG as an Associate Director until 2012 and has advised a range of public and private sector clients across multiple sectors including energy generation. In 2020 he was promoted to be Director of Place where he oversees the following departments: Delivery, Land and property, Strategy, Planning, and business innovation and has been responsible for the deployment of over £200m of grant funding to support brownfield housing and commercial development. Andrew has recently stepped in to the role of Director of Sustainable Growth and Infrastructure at GMCA.
