Ian Pengelly

Ian began his career in acoustics at Peter Brett Associates before a move back to the north led him to join the Mouchel ITS team in 2002. He spent 21 years with the organisation, working across the UK, Middle East, New Zealand and Australia, before joining 4way.
He is driven by delivering positive outcomes for those who use, manage or are impacted by transport networks. Recognising that society will always want to travel, Ian is motivated by the opportunity to make transport safer, more accessible and more sustainable – embracing the strong sense of social responsibility that comes with this work.
Throughout his career, he has been committed to delivering solutions that are genuinely needed and appropriately supported. He has worked on a number of high-profile projects, with the Technology Operations Capability for National Highways standing out as one of his proudest achievements.
