Phil is Regional Policy Manager, he has more than 30 years experience working in public and private sector environments with a strong public service ethos. He has a local government background, having worked in education field with Essex county council. He played a key role in the proposals for the Ipswich freight Chord, a £60 million scheme to carry trains from Felixstowe to the north avoiding Ipswich yard. He also serves on Ipswich Borough Council, where he has accumulated wealth of environment and transport policy experience over many years. He is also the author of several policy papers for the campaign group Railfuture.
