Sarah Sharples CBE

Sarah is the Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at The University of Manchester, a role she took up in September 2025. She is a professor of Human Factors with expertise in technology-human interaction in transportation, manufacturing, and healthcare, previously serving as Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Transport (2021–2025) and in senior leadership at the University of Nottingham.
