TfW to roll out Snapper Services’s network optimisation software nationally
Transport for Wales (TfW) is to use Snapper Services’ data driven insights software to support public transport operations across Wales.
Deployment of Snapper’s Mosaiq Transit Intelligence Suite will enable TfW to better analyse operational data, helping inform ongoing network improvements and decision-making.
Lee Robinson, executive director for regional transport and integration at TfW, said, “We are looking forward to working with Snapper Services and digging into some of our data to help inform better public transport solutions for people in Wales.”
Snapper Services was formed in New Zealand in 2006, but is rapidly increasing its presence globally and in the UK, notably through adoption of Mosaiq by West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Jon Salmon, Chief Revenue Officer at Snapper Services, commented, “We’re proud to be working with Transport for Wales on a project of this scale and importance. As someone with strong ties to Wales, it’s especially meaningful to be supporting improvements to public transport here. This is a testament to the strength of our technology and the collaborative spirit of our team.”
TfW selected Mosaiq for its ability to provide scalable, data-driven insights to support the authority’s evolving transport strategy, including preparations for future franchising.
Snapper Services said the partnership represents a significant step toward more responsive, evidence-led public transport planning, and a model for how data can drive smarter services at a national scale.
