Erika Lewis
Chief Executive, Connected Places Catapult
Erika became Chief Executive Officer of Connected Places Catapult in March 2024, joining from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Erika began her career at the London Development Agency, where she spent 12 years delivering regeneration programmes and later served as Director of Strategy. In central government, she led the National Data Strategy at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, advanced work on Secure Connected Places, digital identity and cyber security, and oversaw economic support for the tech sector. She also served as CEO of the UK’s pioneering AI Safety Summit, convening global leaders to address frontier AI risks.
