Take part in our travelling to Interchange insights experiment!

If you are travelling to Interchange in Manchester on 3-4 March, download the MyWays app before you leave home and take part in our live travel behaviour insights experiment.

Developed by TravelAi and using the same technology that underpinned DfT’s award winning FUSION project, the aim is to create a live snapshot of how this year's group of transport professionals travelled to Manchester, with a reveal on the headline insights from the keynote stage on the second morning of the event.

To take part, simply download the app and it will automatically detect how you travel to Manchester Central.

Andreas Zachariah, CEO and founder of TravelAi said, “Our goal is to capture as many of the 3k plus Interchange 2026 attendees as possible: including their modal mix, distances, durations, carbon footprints, and the national and international origins.

"Understanding how everyday people actually travel can inform service design, increase value and de-risks capital investment. And with INTS imminent, we hope many Interchange visitors take part to gain further insight on how demand-side behavioural data can overcome technology silos and help towards a user-centric transport system."

Participation is voluntary, consent-driven and privacy-first. Download here: https://myways.supalink.cc/interchange26

Please note: Getting the permissions right during the onboarding is key. Background running, unrestricted battery management and fine location/GPS are needed to do all the automatic sensor sampling and mode detection. Fortunately the "Travel Options" screen accessed via the menu in the app (three horizontal bars top left) shows all the key permissions and should look like the screenshot below.
