Robert Courts KC FRAeS is the UK’s former Aviation & Maritime Minister, Solicitor General and Chair of the Defence Select Committee, with extensive experience at the intersection of infrastructure, regulation and national strategy. As Aviation Minister, he led the Jet Zero Strategy, delivered the “Flightpath to the Future” aviation framework and took the Air Traffic Management and Unmanned Aircraft Act through Parliament, overseeing airspace modernisation and working closely with industry and regulators to align policy with delivery.

He now chairs the Advisory Board of AIR UK (Airport Infrastructure Reimagined), launching in September 2025 as a new business-to-business information and networking platform for UK aviation infrastructure, its public and private stakeholders, including investors and local government, and their upper-tier supply chains.

Through AIR UK, he supports a strategic forum focused on growth, resilience and sustainability in airport infrastructure, helping connect policy ambition with practical implementation across the sector.
